Pierre Macret

Pierre Macret (1727–1806) was a Parisian master ébéniste and marchand-mercier, privileged by Louis XV. Based on rue Saint-Honoré, he supplied fashionable clients and the Menus-Plaisirs with refined furniture in Louis XV and early Louis XVI taste. His stamped commodes and desks combine elegant veneers, bronze mounts, courtly polish and practical eighteenth-century luxury.
