Biography

Claude Félix Delamarche

Claude Félix Delamarche (1779–1835) was a French map and globe maker who continued the celebrated Delamarche cartographic firm after his father, Charles-François. Working with the Dien family, he issued educational atlases, wall maps and globes for schools, military training and reference. His engravings joined geographic clarity with elegant hand-coloured presentation, serving nineteenth-century French scientific and pedagogical culture.
