Jacques Antoine Vallin

Jacques-Antoine Vallin (c.1760–after 1831) was a French painter trained at the Académie Royale under Antoine-François Callet and Antoine Renou. Exhibiting at the Paris Salon between 1791 and 1827, he specialised in mythological and pastoral scenes including nymphs, bacchantes, Venus figures and portraits, painted with soft colour, graceful movement and late Rococo sensuality.
