Brice Péridiez
Brice Péridiez, called Péridiez père (d.1757), was a Parisian master ébéniste active before 1738 in the Faubourg Saint-Antoine. His Louis XV furniture, especially commodes and bureaux, used rosewood, kingwood, floral marquetry, Chinese lacquer and gilt-bronze mounts. His stamped pieces show inventive surfaces, graceful curves and the refined luxury of mid-eighteenth-century Parisian interiors.
