Description: Ferdinand Dorsch captured a very private moment in this charcoal drawing. A woman stands in a slight contrapposto pose in a richly decorated and furnished interior. Completely unclothed, with only a fur coat draped over her right shoulder, she stands there and seems to pause for a moment. Perhaps to allow the painter to depict her in this pose. Fine contours and shading as well as a pronounced sense of space characterise this charcoal drawing by Ferdinand Dorsch. The artist succeeded in transforming a private moment into something artistic.
