A three-dimensional representation of the Italian poet Torquato Tasso (1544–1595), leaning on the rectangular clock case. In front of him is his most famous manuscript, "La Gerusalemme liberata." Lyre and writing utensils as attributes of poetry. The dial is framed by a profile. Architecturally structured pedestal base decorated with Gothic tracery and a wide frieze, as well as relief courtly scenes. A 14-day movement with thread suspension and striking mechanism on a bell and half-hour strike.
