Ary Jean Léon Bitter (1883–1973) was a French sculptor best known for his refined animalier and Art Deco-influenced works. His artistic production focused heavily on animal sculpture, especially elegant depictions of deer, antelopes, big cats, birds, and domestic animals. Bitter combined precise anatomical observation with a stylized, decorative sensibility, which aligned his work with early 20th-century Art Deco aesthetics.
He frequently worked in bronze, ivory, and other fine materials, producing both small-scale sculptures and decorative pieces intended for luxury interiors.
