Léonard Boudin

Léonard Boudin
Léonard Boudin (1735–1807) was a French ébéniste (master woodworker) active in Paris during the 18th century. Made master in 1761, he became known for elegant Louis XV and Transitional furniture decorated with floral marquetry, exotic woods, lacquer panels, and gilt-bronze mounts. Later also working as a marchand-mercier, Boudin collaborated with leading craftsmen and helped define refined French decorative arts.
