Emmanuel Fremiet

Emmanuel Fremiet
Emmanuel Frémiet (1824–1910) was a French sculptor renowned for his realistic animal sculptures and public monuments. A major figure in the animalier tradition, he studied under François Rude and became known for works depicting horses, wildlife, and historical subjects. His precise anatomical observation and dramatic sense of movement are evident in monuments such as his celebrated equestrian statue of Joan of Arc in Paris.
