Georges Malissard
Georges Malissard (1877–1942) was a French sculptor best known for equestrian bronzes and public monuments. His horses, riders, dogs and military subjects combine close anatomical study with energetic movement and polished modelling. Commissioned for significant postwar equestrian memorials, he belonged to the French animalier tradition while bringing cultivated aristocratic elegance to modern bronze sculpture.
