Oval-shaped snuffbox in 750 thousandths gold, decorated with translucent blue enamel on a guilloché background. The rectangular cartouche frame is identically enameled in blue alternating with urn motifs, the whole enhanced by green enameled foliate friezes on a white background. The hinged lid centers a polychrome miniature painted on enamel depicting an opalescent sunset scene surrounded by a frieze punctuated with green and white enameled pearls, the border encircled by old-cut diamonds set in silver 800 thousandths.
