Gabriel-Raoul Morel
Gabriel-Raoul Morel (1764–1832) was a Parisian goldsmith, not a sculptor, celebrated for luxury gold snuffboxes and presentation boxes. Registering his mark in 1797, he supplied jewellers and courtly patrons under the Empire and Restoration. His enamelled, engine-turned and chased boxes combine miniature portraits, neoclassical ornament and jewelled refinement for elite French diplomatic gift culture.
