Cosson

Jacques-Laurent Cosson (1737–1812) was a Parisian master ébéniste, admitted as maître in 1765. Working in the Louis XV, Transition and Louis XVI styles, he produced commodes, desks, tables and other refined furnishings. His work combined precious veneers, marquetry, gilt-bronze mounts and marble tops, reflecting the elegance and skilled craftsmanship of eighteenth-century French furniture.
