Hans Martin Ruwoldt

Hans Martin Ruwoldt (1891–1969) was a German sculptor known for his animal sculptures and figurative works. He studied in Hamburg and Munich, developing strong academic training in modelling and composition. Ruwoldt specialized in bronze sculptures of animals, particularly horses, deer, and birds, emphasizing movement, anatomical accuracy, and expressive form. His works reflect the tradition of German animalier sculpture combined with modern stylistic simplification. He exhibited in German art salons and contributed to public and private commissions. Today, his sculptures are appreciated for their craftsmanship and dynamic realism.
