Maurice Prost

Maurice Prost (1894–1967) was a French animalier sculptor known for bronzes of panthers, birds, deer and domestic animals. Working from Brunoy, he drew animals daily and developed direct carving with adapted tools. His sculpture combines compact volume, tense movement and elegant surface, placing him among the refined French animaliers active between naturalism and Art Deco.
