Albert Hinrich Hussmann
Albert Hinrich Hussmann (1874–1946) was a German sculptor best known for his dynamic animal sculptures, particularly horses. Born in Loxten, he studied at the Academy of Fine Arts in Munich and became associated with the naturalistic tradition of German sculpture. Hussmann specialized in bronze works that captured movement, strength, and anatomical precision, often depicting horses in motion or at rest. His sculptures were highly valued for their realism and expressive energy, making him one of the notable animalier artists of his time. Today, his works are appreciated in private collections and museums.
