Description: Abraham Roentgen (1711 - 1793)
The sarcophagus top features a brass swivel handle, the front panel features an openwork brass cartouche-shaped shield, the silk-lined interior contains three brass canisters, the central one with a domed lid and a double interior, the circular lids feature star decoration in bas-relief, and the base features a spring-operated secret drawer on the right side, opened by a knob that is concealed when the lid is closed. It rests on console feet, with a key and a brightly carved Sheffield plate caddy spoon.
