The centre of the lid is framed by dark blue guilloché enamel, decorated with paillons and granules, on chiselled edges adorned with green enamel floral scrolls. The edge is divided into four square cartouches with ornamental decoration, and matching oval cartouches on the underside feature delicate floral and ornamental decoration.
