Biography

Guido Righetti

Guido Righetti (1875–1958) was an Italian animalier sculptor from Milan. Encouraged by Prince Paolo Troubetzkoy, he developed a fluid, impressionistic bronze style focused on animals’ posture, weight and temperament. His monkeys, elephants, bulls, tigers and antelopes combine natural observation with velvety modelling, giving each creature expressive individuality and quiet modern presence.
