Peter Breuer
Peter Breuer (1856–1930) was a German sculptor associated with the academic and early modern sculpture of the late 19th and early 20th-century. He is best known for his public monuments, portrait busts, and allegorical works that combine naturalistic detail with a restrained classical style. Breuer created several notable memorials and architectural sculptures in Berlin and other German cities. His work reflects a transition period in German sculpture, balancing traditional academic ideals with emerging modern influences in form and expression.
