Pierre-Harry Mewesen
Pierre-Harry Mewesen (master 1766–c.1786) was a Swedish or Scandinavian-born Parisian ébéniste, not a sculptor. Working on rue du Faubourg-Saint-Antoine at “La Main d’Or,” he produced Louis XV, Transition and Louis XVI furniture, such as commodes, bureaux, secrétaires and encoignures with rosewood, amaranth, lacquer, geometric marquetry and discreet gilt-bronze mounts.
