Gilded bronze, cast and chiselled.
The cartouche-shaped body features a cylindrical clock case with a side-opening panel, which is filled with a filigree latticework pierced with floral ornamentation.
Alongside delicate mouldings, acanthus foliage running in flowing, dynamic lines forms the outer edge.
Below the framed pendulum window, the frame tapers off into dynamic, sculpturally protruding acanthus foliage. The body is crowned by a slightly domed and openwork cartouche, in front of which stands a sculptural figure of a boy.
Realistically rendered floral tendrils border the outer edge in a loose arrangement.
Solid brass plate work, spindle escapement, half-hour and hour chime on a bell, pendulum with thread suspension.
