Description: Carved frame, gold-leafed mount on a red bolus ground. Original beveled mirror glass.
Upright rectangular frame with a side groove. The edge is decorated with a surrounding frieze, while the mirror surface is framed by a continuous beaded rod. The upper frame is surmounted by an openwork crest decorated with floral motifs. Set into the center of this is a round medallion, whose colored ground is applied with a figurative relief. This arrangement is crowned by foliage with adjoining festoons.
A longitudinally rectangular field with fine ornamental engraving and flanking laurel leaves completes the lower frame.
