Description: The rectangular marble base protrudes slightly from the front, with a relief frieze of cupids made of gilt bronze set into its recessed section. This frieze is flanked on the sides by panels of acanthus leaves. The panels on the sides are applied with leafy tendrils. A stepped pedestal with gilt applications rests on the base. A cylindrical case rests on this, flanked on the sides by Psyche in classical garb and a nearly floating Cupid. On the base, framed by flowing drapery, are the attributes of Cupid.
