Description: Boxwood, kingwood, and rosewood veneer on a softwood body.
The body is divided in the upper half of the front by a hinged writing surface and two hinged doors below. The individual surfaces are occupied in balanced symmetry by cartouches with rosewood veneers in multiple curved lines, lined with thread inlays and framed with marquetry kingwood. The side sections are divided by two similarly marquetry cartouches.
The interior of the writing section features six drawers with staggered storage compartments above. The elegant, slightly curved line of the body is broken up by beveled pilaster strips along the front corner sections. The cut-out, multi-curved frame merges into four short feet, each with sabots at the front.
Finishing feature is a profiled marble top.
